No Rimlox customer wheels stolen to date (2000-Present)

HOW THIEVES REMOVE "WHEEL LOCKS" Video

HOW ARE THEY STEALING SO MANY WHEELS AND TIRES??

A simple socket is the main / preferred tool used by thousands of wheel thieves nationwide to remove the outdated factory wheel locks. These wheel locks do not even "slow" the wheel thief down. They hammer a socket ontop of the wheel lock until it bites into the softer metal, a simple turn with a wrench and poof...gone in less that 60 seconds.

Reverse threaded sockets

Now that technology has improved with the installation of shock sensors etc. wheel lock kit removal companies have improved on the process of removing wheel locks by designing a socket that does not require it to be hammered onto the wheel lock. They now have a socket that simply tightens its grip and loosens the wheel lock at the same time while removing the wheel lock. No sensors activated.

Aftermarket wheel lock removal socket

Deep reverse-tapered internal hardened-threads inside the socket wall to grip the wheel lock for easy quiet unauthorized wheel lock removal. (No loud hammering required. self-tightening). This will easily bite into / grip the wheel lock with ease in a matter of seconds.

MASTER SET OF FACTORY / OEM KEYS

  •  This tool kit enables legitimate wheel and tire shops the ability to service customer vehicles, even customer have lost their wheel lock key(s).
  • This kit can also get into the wrong hands of wheel thieves to have gain access to a number of wheel lock keys to make of with your wheels and tires.

BINS AND DRAWERS FULL OF FACTORY WHEEL LOCK KEYS

Ever wonder how the wheel technician removed your wheel lock key without you giving it to him?  Wheel and tire shops have collected many factory and aftermarket key over the years by accidentally giving it back to the customer of deliberately keeping it for their collection. Both the factory and aftermarket keys can be removed without the designated key. Once the wheel shop asks for the key from the customer and the customer says they don't know, the wheel guy generally says...oh its ok, we can get them (the locks) off.

DIFFERENT "LOCKS" ON EACH STUD

Many people assume that having more than one lock on their wheels will keep their wheels from being stolen. This is patently false. It does not matter the wheel lock design, most wheel thieves already have your key or a socket to remove your key. Multiple and different lock may slow the thief down, however unlike Rimlox, it will NOT stop him dead in his tracks.

what are wheel locks / "FREE" LOCKS AND LUGS...?

Wheel locks, also sometimes called rim locks, or anti-theft lug nuts, are designed to deter thieves from stealing your eye-catching alloy wheels. Unlike regular lug nuts, which share a typical hexagonal shape, wheel locks are manufactured with a unique pattern on the head that requires a special socket, or “key,” to remove. (In actuality, there are a limited number of patterns used by manufacturers, so chances are, your wheel lock and key aren’t totally unique to your vehicle.)

These wheel locks...in most cases are given to customers by wheel and tire shops and referred to as 'FREE LOCKS AND LUGS" to give the perception and appearance that the customers wheels and tire s will be protected form theft with these outdated ineffective lug nuts. A typical set of wheel locks includes four locking lug nuts, one for each wheel, and a single matching socket key. The idea is that even if a would-be tire thief manages to remove all of the other lug nuts from your wheel, the locking nut won’t budge. Rather than taking the time to force it off, and risk getting caught in the process, a smart thief will simply move on to another vehicle.

THE STANDARD OUTDATED FACTORY WHEEL LOCK(S)

When it comes to the standard factory wheel locks, It is no secret that the majority of the current wheel locks on the market were designed and manufactured in the mid 60’s and are currently outdated and completely ineffective when it comes to protecting thousands of dollars in wheels and tires. Wheel thieves have gotten smarter over the years and are stealing wheels and tires on demand.

LOCK REMOVAL SOCKETS / TOOLS

These wheel locks / theft-deterrents are easily removed by simply hammering a socket onto the wheel lock removing within seconds. These wheel locks come standard with most of the new vehicles that come directly from the factory and absolutely do not even "slow" down your most novice wheel. People often say.. at least they'll "slow" down the thief... Why slow then down when you can STOP them?
